Welcome to the Lithuanian Sea Museum!
It is a center of knowledge of marine nature and history, connecting the aquarium, marine fauna, shipping history, ethnographic exposition and dolphinarium.
The Maritime Museum was founded in the Nerijos Fort, which was built in the 19th century. In the second half of the 19th century Prussian troops built a port and a city to defend. During the Second World War, the Fortress of Neria was turned into a military warehouse and was severely devastated, and today it shines with all its beauty and invites to know, love and protect human harmony with the sea in the aquarium and the exposition of maritime history.
In the vaulted casemates, you will discover models of ships of different eras that strive for hard-core human efforts to overcome the seas and oceans. Authentic fishing boats, old sailboats and boat remains will tell you about Lithuania - the seafarers' land.
We sincerely welcome you!
